Princess Consuela Banana Hammock. Who is she?

We too wondered where the name Princess Consuela Banana Hammock came from.  Where did this wonderful name originate from. The Joe’s Banana Hammock team searched high and low for the answer.  Actually we did not have to look that far.  Princess Consuela Banana Hammock originated in the popular award winning television series Friends.  In episode 14 of season 10 of Friends Phoebe decided that she wanted to change her name and was excited to find out that she could change it to whatever she wanted.  Her boyfriend Mike did not agree with Phoebe changing her name to Princess Consuela Banana Hammock and gave an example of changing his name to Crab Bag.  Phoebe comes around and decides not to change her name.
